Professional industrial epoxy powder coating services for copper busbars and electrical components

We offer a comprehensive masking and powder coating service for of copper, aluminium and other metal components in Electris' in-house paint shop.

Electris offers a professional metal component coating services for copper, aluminium and other metal components.

Electris is committed to the comprehensiveness and complementarity of its offerings and to seeking new opportunities for growth. Therefore, we have developed and implemented in our plant the most modern powder coating technology, i.e. the application of coatings to copper and aluminium components.   We implement advanced masking processes, allowing selective application of electroplating and varnish coatings.

Powder coating of busbars is aimed at producing an insulating coating with appropriate physical and chemical, aesthetic and functional properties, thanks to which such aluminium and copper elements are used, among others, in the production of batteries, charging stations, or so-called power banks for the automotive and e-mobility industries.

In the case of copper, it is necessary to prepare the surface of the metal in such a way as to achieve proper adhesion and the expected parameters of the coating.  This requires experience and appropriate knowledge. At Electris Powder Coating Shop, we have been treating copper for many years, so we know how to clean it of any impurities so that the paint coating guarantees both durability, adhesion and an aesthetic end result. By using appropriate masking and protection techniques, our copper and aluminium components meet all the quality requirements set by our customers.

Powder coating is applied to metal components of various sizes, shapes, and types, ensuring proper insulation.  We use epoxy and polyester paints with excellent, high insulation properties.

A wide range of paint colors is available, including:

  • black,
  • white,
  • ashen,
  • grey,
  • dark gray,
  • orange,

but also others - on the individual order of the contractor

The powder coating line at Electris is equipped with the most advanced equipment from leading manufacturers in the field of powder coating.

Powder coating in Electris plant - epoxy powder coating for electrical insulation and conductivity

Our in-house powder coating plant allows us to apply epoxy or polyester coatings of specific thicknesses and colours to non-galvanized and galvanized surfaces.

In addition, we carry out advanced masking processes that allow selective application of electroplating and varnish coatings.
The integration of electroplated and powder-coated coatings serves a dual function. The electroplating layer increases the electrical conductivity of the component at the coating site, while the powder coating provides a layer with high insulating properties. This combination of coatings enables components to be used more efficiently in various sectors: automotive, electromobility and renewable energy, or heavy industry.

The component coating services at Electris is:

  • Precision manufacturing.
  • Advanced masking system, designed individually to the customer's project.
  • Powder coating of complex copper and aluminium components.
  • Selective painting of non-galvanized and galvanized surfaces.
  • Powder coating process for metals also combined with galvanic coating such as silver, nickel and tin.
  • Coating layer designed according to special technical requirements.
  • Multi-stage quality control of the coating of painted components (insulation, mechanical, adhesive, corrosion parameters).
  • Modern tools and materials.
  • Selective painting of copper and aluminium.

Industries We Serve our Electrical Coatings & Galvanic Services

At Electris, we provide professional powder coating services for copper and aluminum components, ensuring high-quality insulation and protection.  We offer epoxy and poliester paints. Our expertise spans multiple industries that require durable, corrosion-resistant, and electrically insulating coatings for their applications. This powder coating technology is used in a wide range of industries, from energy and electromobility to heavy industry and construction. The use of an epoxy coating allows electrical insulation up to 45 kV/mm. As a result, components with such a coating can be installed, for example, in battery systems or other power distribution equipment.  Powder-coated paint is also used as thermal protection for components in specialised applications - it has a temperature resistance of up to 300°C. Depending on the paint used, these coatings can exhibit the necessary flexibility to allow installation without fear of damaging the protective layer. Electris works with a number of powder coating suppliers, tailoring the choice of raw material to customer requirements, including dedicated colours. Precision paint application works well for the most demanding product geometry, as well as for the surface to be coated.
